Five Little Pumpkins

"Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them."
Little Chick loves this poem!
There are so many great art projects you can do with this.
Here is Little Chick on Halloween when she was one.
Five Little Pumpkins

"Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate;

The first one said, "Oh my it's getting late."

The second one said, "There are witches in the air."

The third one said, "But I don't care."

The fourth one said, "I'm ready for some fun!"

The fifth one said, "Let's run and run and run."

"Wooooooo" went the wind,

And out went the lights.

And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight."

  4. Is Little Chick the character from The Backyardigans? My kids are older, and I'm rusty on the newer tv shows! Adorable costume either which way. I hope Little Chick is feeling well. Thanks for stopping by and leaving me comments, Mama Hen. You mean the world to me.

  8. so cute!!!

    thanks for the info -- ella has had a long range of symptoms since the middle of sept. she is currently fever-free, not complaining of headaches or neck pain, her lymph nodes are not swollen anymore and she is not having diarrhea (like she had been), but she still complains of her tummy hurting, to the point she wants to stay in bed or lay down on the sofa in the middle of playing. her appetite has decreased too. she just doesn't have her extra zing right now, and cries easily, wants to be held. if she develops another fever our ped is testing her for lymes but she didn't think mono because her lymph nodes are not swollen and her throat looked fine.

    it's so hard when you don't get answers. and it's so hard to know when to encourage her to play and when to cuddle. i appreciate your thoughts : )

  29. Her costume is absolutely adorable! Georgia also loves that rhyme, especially when Raffi sings it on her music CD. It's such a good poem for Halloween!
