Smile Sunday

"The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught,
as that every child should be given the wish to learn." ~John Lubbock
Keeping busy with Little Chick while she is not feeling well.
Putting our ABC's in order.
Having fun creating with our letters.
More Art!
We cut a pumpkin shape out of a sponge.
Having fun making pumpkins.
Happy Smile Sunday!

  1. Love L.C.'s smile! :-) Isn't it fun providing those great creative opportunities for your child! I always think of all the children who have no one exposing them to art, music, or even just fun and joy!

  10. Hello Mama Hen!

    That looks so fun!

Btw, thank you for dropping by and commenting on my "Millionaire's Shortbread" recipe post. The base is yummy although the caramel layer is wayyyyy too sweet for our liking!

Thanks for your encouragement! Hope you have a great week ahead!

  17. Hope Little Chick is feeling better. I love that quote from John Lubbock. It's so true that learning the desire to learn is the most important part of educating our chicks. x

  22. You're a brave lady for letting your gal paint. I must admit, I don't let the kids paint too much. The table is usually lined with a ton of paper too.

  27. Looks like you two are having a lot of fun! I love the quote at the top. It is so true and SO important that children never lose the desire to learn. SO often schools crush this desire, especially as the kids get older.

  34. I haven't been by in a while, and you're such a consistent blogger I feel like I've missed so much. I love how kids can find so much pleasure in simple things. I love Little Chick's pumpkin patch. I just really noticed the quote by Will Durant in your sidebar. As a parent, I know I want everything to be just so before I tackle a job or attempt a craft. Sometimes, we just have to realize that kids will love the project just because it's an opportunity for them to have our undivided attention. The moon doesn't have to be in the 7th house with all of the stars in perfect alignment for us to just enjoy our children and be there for them. You are a great example, Mama Hen!
